Biometric Kiosk

Clear creates biometric-scanning hardware and software. I worked on an experimental hardware prototype for a new kind of biometric kiosk. For this project, I did schematic design, PCB design and layout, created 5 different PCBs which went into this machine; designed, documented, and ordered custom cabling, including high-speed (USB 3.1) cables; created manufacturing documents for large-scale assembly; and helped assemble, program and test several dozen prototypes. The hardest part of this project was implementing a USB 3.1 high-speed hub for interfacing with 12 different USB devices.
