Rocean One

Description

The Rocean One was a prototype at-home carbonated water machine, with a successful Indiegogo campaign, albeit an unsuccessful product launch. The product included a flavor dispensor module (which worked great!), for which I designed the PCB and firmware. The flavor dispense module was innovative because it used capacitive sensing the count the number of flavor droplets that were dispensed into each drink. I analyzed the capacitive sensor data and programmed an algorithm in C that controlled the flavor pumps to dispense the exact amount of flavor droplets requested by the user. I also prototyped the inital Main PCB for the cabonation system, and assisted in the bringup of the Linux SOM that ran the user interface.
